About

Adam Axler is a proud Clevelander. He has bartended at Buffalo Wild Wings (B-Dubs), worked as a firefighter/medic in Mentor, Ohio, and driven ambulances in New York from Yonkers to the World Trade Center.
On September 11th, he worked at Ground Zero, caring for the injured during the attack and its immediate aftermath.
Over the past 20+ years, he has worked in emergency medicine, including working as a paramedic at Lenox Hill and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospitals in NYC, and later, as a physician assistant in emergency rooms and urgent care centers across South Florida.
Today, Adam is the founder and owner of Collectible Science Fiction (CSF), an online bookstore built from a lifelong passion for reading and collecting classic and rare science fiction, fantasy, and art.
He is the author of the medical memoir, American Triage: From 9/11 to Fahrenheit 451, published by indie darling, Whiskey Tit. Intense, hilarious, heartbreaking, and required reading at this moment in time.
When he is not reading, collecting, or selling books, Adam takes daily walks with his wife, Lori, and focuses on his favorite role, being a girl dad to Sammi and Syd.
